Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE)

The JRE allows programs written in Java to run.

• JRE has an automatic update feature that Patchstream is currently unable to disable.
• JRE is patched by using the Windows® installer, using an msi & cab file combination that is the full installer.
• JRE consists of both 32 bit and 64 bit programs. Separate installers are required for both.
• Patchstream treat the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of JRE as different programs
